The Things I have Chosen is a pictorial inventory of the objects I will leave to my children. To the unloving eye, these things are worthless. To the covetous, they are things to possess. To me these are beautiful, whimsical, all special in their own way. Some have passed through the hands of those I have loved and those they loved. Some are gifts, the highest compliment because they were chosen with my delight in mind. Others are acquired over the years through traveling, junking, and scouring dusty crowded shelves in high and low places where they have patiently awaited my gaze to single them out and declare “this I have chosen.”
